Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated 31 July 2026

Template notice for the site owner: the wording below is a starting point drafted for a US-based independent travel agency. Insert your registered legal entity name, business address and fee schedule where marked, and have a lawyer in your jurisdiction review it before you run paid traffic. Delete this notice before you go live.

1. The airline’s fare rules come first

Every air ticket carries fare rules set by the issuing airline. Those rules decide whether your ticket can be changed, whether it can be refunded, and what the airline charges to do either. Flyline cannot override them. We tell you the rules that apply to your specific ticket before you pay, and we send them to you with your confirmation.

2. The 24-hour rule (US Department of Transportation)

For tickets bought at least seven days before departure on itineraries touching the United States, US DOT rules generally allow you to cancel within 24 hours of booking for a full refund of the fare and taxes. Where this applies to your ticket we will process it. Contact us as early as possible within that window — +1 (845) 410-3309 is faster than email.

4. How to request a change or refund

  1. Call +1 (845) 410-3309 or email support@flyline.it.com with your booking reference and the passenger name.
  2. We check the fare rules and tell you exactly what it will cost, in writing, before anything is changed.
  3. You confirm in writing. We submit the request to the airline.
  4. We send you the airline’s response and, where a refund is due, the amount and expected timing.

Do not simply not turn up. A no-show usually voids the remaining value of the ticket, including return sectors.

5. How long refunds take

Airlines control refund timing. Typical processing is 7–12 weeks from the date the airline accepts the request, and it can be longer at peak times or for tickets issued on consolidator stock. Once the airline releases funds, the refund is returned to the original payment method. We will chase the airline on your behalf and keep you updated.

6. If the airline cancels or significantly changes your flight

You are generally entitled to a refund or a rebooking under the airline’s obligations and, for flights covered by it, under EU/UK Regulation 261 or US DOT rules. Contact us and we will pursue the option you prefer. Our service fee remains non-refundable, but we do not charge a handling fee to process a cancellation caused by the airline.

7. Travel insurance

Non-refundable fares are non-refundable even when your reason is a good one. Travel insurance bought at the time of booking is the only reliable protection against illness, bereavement and other events that force a cancellation. We recommend it on every trip.

8. If you are unhappy

Email support@flyline.it.com with the subject line “Complaint” and your booking reference. We acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and aim to resolve them within 15. Please contact us before raising a chargeback — a chargeback freezes the file and slows any refund already in progress.
